About Corneal Reshaping

Patients who desire freedom from glasses or prevention of myopic progression are excellent candidates for corneal reshaping therapy, or CRT. CRT is the therapeutic use of a corneal mold similar in feel to a contact lens. When worn overnight, the mold gently shapes the cornea to allow correction of refractive error without the use of glasses or daytime contacts. In other words, you can see clearly as soon as you open your eyes each morning! A safe and fully reversible treatment, CRT is a great alternative to refractive surgery and a fantastic option for athletes. In kids, CRT can also prevent nearsightedness from getting worse. Dr. Williamson provides consultations for adults and children interested in corneal reshaping at our Novi location.
